Carl will be greatly remembered for his perseverance in life, commitment and dedication to his trade, family and hard work. He enjoyed life. His greatest pleasures were his children, family and friends.

To the Family of Carl. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. I have known Carl as a very good friend for many years now. A good man beyond measures in my book. He will be greatly missed by many that knew him, along with his family.

Darlene, I didnt know your Dad, but if he's anything like you he is kind, hard 'working and fun to be around. This part of life is so bitter sweet. Glad that our loved one is no longer suffering but sad because their presence in our lives will be missed. May God shower you and your family with comfort and blessings. Thinking and praying for all of you. Love, Mo

To the Family of Carl, I have known Carl for sixty years. He will be greatly missed by many people. One of the last conversations I had with him via phone, we talked about his life. He was a great man. I know each one of his children will miss their dear Dad. He and Pat raised a fine family. I am sorry I cannot drive back to New York State to attend the calling hours. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. My plans are to put a book in the Fillmore Library in his memory. May God be with you and bring comfort to your hurting hearts during this week and in the days ahead as you adjust to life without Dad.

My thoughts are with Karls family at this time of your loss.I have known Karl since I was a young teenager. He would come to our farm and grind feed.Since that time I have considered Karl a good friend.I have very fond memories of working for Karl a few years back, driving truck when he was chopping, and also doing field work.I will definately miss him.May God give you His peace at this time.

I first tried to contact Carl in July 1994, but he was at a tractor pull. I was installing part of the Finger Lakes Trail for hiking, and wanted his permission for trail to cross his land. Finally, in September 1996 I met him in person. He was cheerful and generous in letting us use his field. Then, in February 1996 he willingly allowed us to cross his property to access the new Sixtown Creek campsite near his house.

Since then, he has always been friendly, helpful, and cooperative. I will miss him. Now Mike has taken over trail issues, including his own sponsorship of more than 4 miles of Finger Lakes Trail.
