Paul David Getty

Warsaw --- Paul David “Gomer” Getty of 50 Livingston Street, died Friday September 2, 2016 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He was born on April 1, 1954 in Tonawanda, a son of the late William John and Lois Goerss Getty Sr.

He was a graduate of Warsaw Central School, class of 1972, and owned and operated the Tri Gott Auto Parts in Warsaw. He also was a mechanic for First Student in Java.

Surviving is a brother, William Getty Jr. of Houghton, three nieces and nephews and one great niece and one great nephew.

Family and friends may gather from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore and frome 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Houghton Wesleyan Church where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Wesley Oden will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, Pendleton.

So sorry of hearing of the sudden passing of Paul.Have lived across from tri gott for years and have always enjoyed Gomer and Don for years,rest in peace .

Gomer was a good neighbor and friend on Livingston Street for many years. Enjoyed knowing him, his brother and Mother, they were good people. His troubles are over, may he rest in peace.

Gomer was a good friend when we were younger working on cars and raising cane. He was there to help if you needed it and never asked for much in return. He will be missed by many. Our condolences go out to his brother and family. He will live on in our memories forever.
