We are praying for you at this time. I know you rejoice in knowing where he spends eternity...I, too, take joy in that. Bill knew how to live life. He did it intentionally. Loved his wife and kids, and their spouses and kids...and so many others that crossed his path - and there was never any doubt about that! I've always been so grateful for the way I 'got in' to the Roeske family! Blessings on you.

What a wonderful encouraging man you were, Bill, and I just found out that you were married to Jane on my birthday! You were there for me with your quiet support when I was newly hired at Houghton College, and I always appreciate your kind and gentle spirit. You were kind to my kids when they were at Houghton, as well. I believe you knew Jennifer Hice Kangas, and of course son-in-law Tim Kangas has always held you in the highest regard. You have gone ahead of us and I pray God will comfort Jane and your family with the knowledge of all the many lives you influenced for good. God keep them and minister to their grief. We will meet again when our race is finished.

Bill was a great neighbor, scout leader, adviser, mentor and friend to me, but more importantly, he was a living example of what a man of God should be. Bill, I thank you (and Jane) for your love! What a joy it will be when I see you again.

Dear Jane, Martha & Peter
I'm so sorry for your loss but what a party they are having in Heaven! I have such fond memories of being included in your family Sunday dinners when I was a student at Houghton. I'm not sure why I was so lucky to be invited, but it sure was nice to be in a real home around a real family meal! You even included Kevin when he came down to see me when I was a student and he has fond memories of those times as well. Bill always went out of his way to make us feel welcome and included in your family. Thank your for sharing your home & hearts with us.

Bill was a cousin who was much older than I. I did not become familiar with him until we rode to work together a couple years. He showed love in many ways. I shall never forget his humor. It was a "wait for it" humor that, once one started laughing they could not stop. Hope to see him again . . . in Beulah Land.

So many happy childhood and adult memories of our cousin Bill. My sister, Pat and I were speaking via phone today of his quiet humble ways and the many, many lives he influenced. I picture him in Jesus' arms, free of pain and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I am so sorry for the loss of a great man, friend and past neighbor. I remember all the yrs I and my kids lived down the rd from you. Couldnt ever ask for better friends. I remember the days at your house caring for Bill's mom. He loved gardening and all his flowers were so beautiful. He had the green thumb. He would do anything to help anyone. He is with God now starting a new life in heaven.
