Kathie and family, so sorry for your loss. Mr. Brenneman was a fine teacher and even though I did not participate in the plays he conducted I know many who did and thoroughly enjoyed his tutelage. Certainly he deserves this rest with our heavenly Father after these many years of illness. I know he has joined my Dad in the choir.

My thoughts are with you, Kathie, Brian and Suzanne. I'm so sorry for your loss. Mr. B as I called him, was a wonderful, witty, and fun-loving man. He was my 7th grade English teacher at FCS, my director for several plays at HC, and the co-host for numerous fabulous gatherings at your house. I fondly recall evenings of charades, Pictionary, Trivial Pirsuit and Black Magic. Not to mention doubles table tennis tournaments in the basement.

My heart flies out to your whole beautiful family at the loss of one of the most loving men in the whole world. Bruce and Kathie have always been the heart of Houghton to me, the great welcoming committee to thousands of people from around the world. There was always room for more, always a larger embrace. Thank you for sharing Bruce with us! He will be remembered all over the world, for generations to come. I love you! XOXO Ingrid

Dear Kathie,

Bruce was one of the most faithful mentors, intercessors, and friends I've ever had. For the past number of years, you and he graciously welcomed me into your home every time I would visit Houghton, and even though a devastating illness was ravaging Bruce's body, nothing could diminish his indomitable, beautiful, gentle spirit. He taught me so much about Christlikeness and about true friendship. I loved Bruce and derive great comfort from the fact that we will all see each other again in our true home!
