Dear Diane,
So sorry to hear of Horace's passing.  I hope he didn't suffer long as we've sort of lost touch with you and are unfamiliar with what has been happening in your life.   Also pray that the Lord will comfort you during this difficult time.
In Christ,

Dear Dianne and Family, Sorry to hear of my dear friend Horace  passing. I must tell U I woke up this morning with Horrace heavy on my mind. Some strong feelings of him passing. Early this evening those feeling were confirmed. Haorace and I were in the American Legion for many years. Him being the Commander to begin with and then when I became the Commander Horrace was my Chaplain. During those 5 years we did 23 funerals. Some in the funeral homes, some in the cemetery, and a few in private homes. I must say we were a great team and did our best each and every time to do our best to send those veterans off. Horace and I had a growing friendship through all of those years and even though we drifted apart some, Horace was always in my thoughts. We tried to do each other favors through the years. Horace was a great Legionair , veteran, and patriot , among other great things. I feel so bad that we are no longer a team but his memory will live on in me for the rest of my life. Rest in peace my comrade. Diane, peace be with u and the rest of the family.

Dear Diane,

"Father Emmons" was like a father to us. He was one of the most influential men in our lives. His quiet wisdom, compassion, and guidance helped us through our years at Houghton, and well beyond.
And isn't it just like our Lord to fulfill a need before the need arises. Just as the  grass arrived before the grazing animals in Genesis, God sent you to the  Emmons family as a nanny to Beth. Only God knew that you would be filling the void when He took Mertice home.
We love you and continue to pray and support your tender outreach to others as God leads you.
