Hume --- A. Jean Cole of Williamsville and a former resident of Hume entered into rest on March 22, 2024, in the Weinberg Campus, Amherst. She was born on October 6, 1933, in Belmont, a daughter of the late Frank and Alice Easton Brown. She married Doy Cole who predeceased her in 2010.
Jean was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church, serving as the church organist for over 50 years. She was devoted to her family and loved getting together with them for any occasion -but especially for weekly card games, reunions and holidays.
Surviving are her children Douglas Cole of Akron, Holly Ann Cole of Williamsville, and Donald (Christy) Cole of Arlington, VA, three grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew and Caroline, a sister Eleanor Smith of Fillmore and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Elroy (Nellie) Brown, Elva (Neal) Radice, Sara (William) Campbell and Stuart (Marge) Brown and a brother- in-law, William Smith.
Family and friends may gather from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.
