Rushford --- Albert Sadler of 7481 Centerville Road died Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the Absolut at Houghton nursing home. He was born on May 24, 1927 in Jamestown, a son of the late Walter and Ethel Fuller Sadler. On June 16, 1951 in the Rushford Baptist Church he married Bess Hall who predeceased him on March 11, 2003.
Albert was a member of the Rushford Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II. He was an avid learner, scripture scholar and farmer. Albert helped many individuals in the Rushford community with their computers and was actively involved in the Rushford Free Library.
Albert obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Houghton College, three Master’s Degrees from Tennessee Temple University and was currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry.
Surviving are three children, S. Jeannette Sadler of Los Angeles, CA, Hamilton (Julie) Sadler of Wabash, IN, Sylvia (John) Christensen of Houghton, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Sadler of Cortland, Grace Elsea of Upland, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rushford Baptist Church. Pastor Jonathan Finley and Rev. Dr. Wesley Oden will co-officiate. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Rushford.
