Rushford---Arthur W. Kellogg of 9794 Hardy’s Corner Road, died Wednesday September 9, 2015 in the Hart Comfort House, Wellsville. He was born on October 13, 1932 in Fillmore, a son of the late Nellis and Winifred Buttifant Kellogg. On May 21, 1988 in the Rushford Baptist Church he married Ruby Roberta Borden who predeceased him March 13, 2002. On May 3, 2003 in his home he married Marilyn Clark Witt who survives.
Art bought the family farm from his mother, where he lived for 70 years, and worked very hard. He had 50 heifers and 50 cows, all of his registered cows had the Special K prefix. He also loved his garden.
He was a member of the Rushford Baptist Church, the Rushford Senior Citizens, Arcade Seniors and the Motorola Retirees Group.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two step-daughters Audra (Steve) Becker of Rushford, Jill (Jon) Baker of Wellsville, two granddaughters, Heather and Catherine Becker of Rushford, a brother, Dr. Richard Kellogg of Alfred, a sister, Dr. Ruth (Carlos Gutierrez) Kellogg of Saratoga Springs, a niece Carolyn (Nick) Jonas of Wellsville, a nephew Philip (Jeanne) Kellogg of Ohio, and great-niece Catlin Jonas of Wellsville.
In addition to his parents and first wife he was predeceased by a special cousin, Lois Bruce.
Family and friends may gather from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 and from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Rushford Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jonathan Finley and Art McElheny will officiate. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Rushford.
