Fillmore---Bonnelyn “Bonnie” Buckley, a former resident of Fillmore, died on Friday November 4, 2016 in Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care. She was born on August 2, 1940 in Fillmore, a daughter of the late Dean and Nickoli Capparulo Mowers.
Prior to retiring, she had been a registered nurse for Allegany County for 32 years.
She was also a published poet and author.
Surviving are a son, Mark (Staci) Buckley of Cuba, two daughters, Kelly (Ken) Buckley-Sterner of West Valley, Kerry (Rob) Buckley-Poplawski of Dansville, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother James (Dar) Mowers of Centerville, two sisters Carol Mowers of Syracuse, Janice Trip of Rush and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home 21 N. Genesee Street Fillmore on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Bruce Smith, pastor of the Higgins Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.
