Angelica --- Charles R. Wilcox of 37 E. Main Street died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in Olean General Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1934 in the Town of Allen, a son of the late Charles and Arlene VanOcker Wilcox. On May 15, 1954 in Caneadea he married Lucia Burr who survives.
Mr. Wilcox was an Army Veteran having served from November of 1954 to March of 1957. He loved hunting, karaoke, being a D.J. at parties and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Re (Tom) Buck of Wellsboro, PA, Lori (Randy) Pier of Wellsboro, PA, Rick (Pam) Wilcox of Oramel, John (Tammy) Wilcox of Fillmore, Sue (Rich) Polochock of Rochester, Mark (Lori Slater) Wilcox of Fillmore, Cheryl (Stewart) Fuller of Angelica, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jack (Marcia) Wilcox of Fillmore, Jim (Linda) Wilcox of Belmont and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a grandson, Aaron D. Washburn, three sisters, Betty Peacock, Wilma Thornton, and Judy DeMarse.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014. Larry Russell, pastor of the Caneadea United Methodist Church, will officiate.
