Fillmore---Marjorie Dawn Bentley of 115 W. Main Street, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 in her home. She was born on May 27, 1935 in Eldred, PA, a daughter of the late William and Virginia Emerson Tompkins. On September 15, 1956 in Eldred, Pa., she married Joseph C. Bentley who predeceased her on December 21, 2012.
She was a former Teacher’s Aide of Fillmore Central School and was a member of the Rebecca’s Lodge in Hume, Brooks Hose Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Darla Indralingam of Perry, David (Jennifer) Bentley of Wellsville, Dawn Bentley, Richard (Vicki) Bentley, Debra (Terry) Wagoner and Cindi (John) Burton all of Fillmore, fourteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Gloria (Marvin) Waxel of Allegany, Marguerite (Fred) Miller of Eldred, PA, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Tompkins and Joyce Rex.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 am. Joel Stroud, Pastor of the Hume Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.
