Robert F. Miller

Houghton --- Rev. Robert F. Miller of Houghton died Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was born on August 24, 1925 in Napoleon, Ohio a son of the late Kenneth Emiheizer and Mabel Miller. He married Ruth Negley who survives.

Bob was a Navy veteran and served during World War II and also was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1155 of Fillmore.  He was a former employee of Houghton College serving as an electrician for over 30 years. Bob also served as a pastor for several churches in New York and Pennsylvania.

Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Roger Miller of Houghton, David (Beatrice) Miller of Houghton, Cheryl (Samuel) Hollingshead of Holley, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Houghton Wesleyan Church. Al Gurley of Houghton will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
