Fillmore --- Wilma J. MacLaughlin of 6377 Wiscoy-Mills-Mills Road was called to heaven on March 9, 2016 in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on August 5, 1930 in Wiscoy, a daughter of the late Everette and Eva Hotchkiss Hall. She married Frank MacLaughlin who survives.
Wilma was a member of the United Methodist Church for 79 years, taught Sunday school and youth groups for many years. Her faith was strong and never faltered.
She was a graduate of RBI and was a bookkeeper in various school districts and retired from Hornell Central School at the age of 70. Wilma enjoyed quilting, gardening and reading.
She was a strong woman with lots of love and will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years is a daughter, Colleen (Gary) Thivierge of Tennessee, a daughter in law, Patricia MacLaughlin, Frank and Rhonda MacLaughlin who gave her loving tender care over many years, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother, Samuel Hall of Canandaigua and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Phillip MacLaughlin in 2013, a daughter, Karla Washburn in 2011, a brother, Everette “Junior” Hall and a sister, Mary Fellom.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 to 1:00 on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Larry Russell, pastor of the Caneadea United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore.
