Albert Irving Williams

Friendship --- Albert Irving Williams, a former resident of Friendship, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 in the Wellsville Manor. He was born on February 7, 1936 in Friendship, a son of the late Clifford A. and G. Lucile Steenrod Williams.

Bert was a graduate of Friendship Central School, class of 1954, where he was the salutatorian. He also was a graduate of Houghton College, Class of 1958. He enjoyed reading, especially about history, and collecting antiques.

Surviving are his siblings, R. Ailene Williams of Denver, CO, Robert Williams of Pensacola, Florida, L. Herbert (Karen) Williams of Fillmore, Martha Williams of Centerville, Ohio, Walter (Dottie) Williams of Clearwater, Florida and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Edith Anne Thompson in 2020.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm. Bob Schooley, pastor of the Centerville United Methodist Church and a family friend, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship.
