Alice Ann ‟Judy” Bentley

Dalton---Alice Ann ‟Judy” Bentley of 4233 Schneider Rd., died Sunday, September 21, 2014 in the Leo Center for Caring in Rochester. She was born on Nov. 5, 1942 in Fillmore, a daughter of the late Edmund and Frances Wheeler Gayford. On November 20, 1960 in the town of Granger she married Gary Gordon Bentley who survives.

Judy was a graduate of Fillmore Central School, class of 1960. She enjoyed taking pictures, researching genealogy and most of all taking care of her family.  She also loved to drive and visit family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are their children, Garyl (Alicia) Bentley of Dalton, Todd (Tracey) Bentley of Castile, Darcy (Jamie) Metcalfe of Carlisle, PA, Terril (Cheryl) Bentley of Bliss, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Janet (Don) Thomas of Hume, Joan (Dan) Dain of Texas, a brother, Jim (Carolyn) Gayford of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 am Burial will be in Short Tract Cemetery.
