Silver Springs --- Beatrice Lucille Rafferty of 29 Cummings Ave and a former resident of Wiscoy went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 27, 1957, in Coudersport, PA, a daughter of the late Ed and Irene Forrester Ellis. She married David Rafferty Sr. who predeceased her on July 28, 2016.
Beatrice was a former postal worker for several area post offices. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, driving, reading her devotionals and most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She attended Family Life Church in Warsaw when she was able.
Surviving are her children, David (Hope) Rafferty Jr. of Silver Springs, Tabitha Gage of Belmont, four grandchildren, Cody (Jenny Dake) Gordon, David (Mariah) Rafferty III, Kory (Mariah Swarthout) Lanni, Domnick (Katherine Morris) Rafferty, five great-grandchildren, her siblings, Edward N. Ellis of Wiscoy, Norman (Andie) Ellis of Perry, John (Viva) Ellis of Wiscoy, Donna (Scott) Disanto of Geneva, Gloria (Sherman) Gage of Richburg, Corena (John) Wedge of Bolivar, Cyndi (Bert) Densmore of Bolivar, Norman L. (Sonya) Ellis, Lorena Ellwood of Silver Springs and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Hope Ida Rafferty in 1981 and two brothers, Elmer Ellis and Michael Ellis.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Jonathan Lonneville, pastor of the Family Life Church, will officiate. Burial will be in East Koy cemetery, East Koy.
