Fillmore---Bernard A. Mills of 34 Emerald Street, died Friday, August 19, 2016 in his home. He was born on December 11, 1922 in Rossburg, a son of the late Balfour and Lenora Green Mills. He was married to Louise Yanda for 59 years who predeceased him on June 30, 2011.
He was an Air Force Veteran having served during WWII and Korean conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 1155 of Fillmore. He was also a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and had been power plant operator for Rochester Gas and Electric for 39 years.
Bernard was an avid outdoors man and loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his children, Melissa Mills of Fillmore, James (Chele) Mills of Hume, Lydia Mills of Ft.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Stewart S. Mills in 1991 and Lowell B. Mills Sr. in 2009.
Family and friends may gather at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore, on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Centerville United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Schooley, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.
