Betty M. (Voss) Rees

Fillmore---Betty M. Rees of 34 Prospect Street, died Saturday, July 8, 2023 in Highland Hospital, Rochester. She was born on March 11, 1926 in Short Tract, a daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie Piatt Voss. On May 30, 1946 in the Town of Hume, she married Richard K Rees who predeceased her on September 25, 2013.

She was a member of the former Friends in Christ United Methodist Church in Fillmore and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Betty enjoyed playing cards, sewing and most of all she loved her family.

Surviving are her children, Susan (Bill) Stevens of Caledonia, Sylvia Smith of Avon, Deborah Winchip of Fillmore, Randy (Vicki) Rees of Fillmore, Michael (Bridgette) Rees of Ft. Worth, TX, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and  parents she was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Frederic "Rick" Winchip, Jr., Aaron Smith and her seven siblings.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm. Craig Buelow, pastor of the Northern KonXions United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore.
