Rushford---Beverly Ann Irwin Ames of 9038 Concrete St. died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in the Absolut at Houghton. She was born on January 4, 1934 in Warsaw, she was raised like a daughter by John and Lottie Weeks. She married Lyman C. Ames who predeceased her on September 5, 2004.
Beverly was a former employee of Motorola of Arcade and Champion Company of Perry.
She was a member of the Bellville Wesleyan Church. She played the organ, liked to bowl, an avid Buffalo Bills fan, was an excellent cook and loved her family.
Surviving are her children, Keith Ames of Rushford, Darlene (Dave) Fanara of Batavia, Brenda (Randy) Ellis of Houghton, Roger (Lorie E.) Ames of Perry, Ruth (Don) Lubanski of York, Linda (Jay) Flederbach of Olean, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, a sister, Norma Billings of Perry, three sisters in law, Barb (Donald) Kenyon, Janice (Max) Armison, Nancy Ames and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Kopler-Williams Funeral Home 21 N. Genesee St. Fillmore. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m in the Bellville Wesleyan Church. Roy DeVries, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Rushford.
