Blanche A. (Cather) Weaver

Houghton--- Blanche A. Weaver of 7817 Tucker Hill Road went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at home. She was born on April 1, 1936 in Sutherland, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Oscar and Hazel Cather. She married Glenn O. Weaver who predeceased her on April 6, 2011.

Mrs. Weaver taught a range of school grades and subjects in Colorado, California, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and North Carolina. She was a member of the Houghton Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her children, Robert (Lorie) Weaver of Piscataway, NJ, Jon (Susan) Weaver of Fairview, NC, Gwen (David) Mercer of Houghton, Karen (Mitchell) Liddick of Fillmore, nine grandchildren, a brother, James Cather of Manitou Springs, CO and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Houghton Wesleyan Church, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:00 am. Rev. Dr. Wesley Oden will officiate.
