Bruce P. Smith

Hunt --- Bruce P. Smith of 11387 Weaver Settlement Road died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in his home. He was born on July 10, 1935, in Rochester, a son of the late Frank and Luella Titenburg Smith. He married Carol Metzger who survives.

In his early years he lived an athletic lifestyle which earned him a scholarship at Palm Beach College where he would later transfer to Miami University.

He passion in life was coaching where he touched many young athletes in basketball, football, swimming, track and diving some of which participated in the Olympic Games.

Bruce retired from Eastman Kodak after 35 years of service. He enjoyed living on the farm with his family, tending to his fields, and nurturing the wildlife. He also was an avid commercial fisherman and hunter.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Scott (Michelle) Smith of Montville, OH, Brett Smith of Hunt, Todd (Kim) Smith of Enterprise, AL, three grandsons, Jeremey, Andrew, Michael, and one granddaughter, Caroline.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
