Byron E. Wilmot

Rochester---Byron E. Wilmot of Rochester, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 in his home. He was born on May 16, 1948 in Cuba, a son of the late Gordon and Frankie Drew Wilmot.

Byron taught in the Rush-Henrietta School District for 29 years. He was a collector, painter, played the piano, writer and was active in the theater.

Surviving are three brothers, Russell (Augusta) Wilmot of Hyde Park, James (Dawn) Wilmot of Rushford, Frank (Virginia) Wilmot of Hinsdale, a sister, Laura Long of Caledonia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Douglas Wilmot and a brother in law, Michael Long.

Family and friends may gather at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2014. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Rushford Cemetery, Rushford.
