Cachita L. (Molinet) Winchip

Fillmore --- Cachita Loux Winchip of Indiantown, FL and a former resident of Fillmore passed away on February 8, 2016 in Indiantown, FL. She was born on September 2, 1930 in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Ignacio and Dorothy Loux Molinet. She married Frederic Seward Winchip Sr. who predeceased her in 1994.

Chita grew up in Atlantic Highlands and moved to Rochester where she graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High. She attended Rochester Business Institute. Chita and Fred resided in Fillmore until 1988 then became part time Florida residents.

Surviving are her sons, Stephen (Nicole) Winchip of Hobe Sound, FL; Phillip Winchip of Indiantown, FL; her grandchildren, Rick (Shannon), Paul and Kevin Nichols; Karl(Amanda) Huck, Eric Huck and Andy Carignan; Kayla (Ben) Sheehan, Amanda and Stephen Winchip; Chad (Christina) Allen, Allison (Travis) Billings, Ashley (Mike) Ely and Ryan Winchip; 9 great-grandchildren, her sisters Terri Van De Carr, Ft. Pierce, FL, Dorothy (Bill) Schaphorst of Dawtaw, SC.; a daughter in law, Deborah Winchip of Fillmore and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son, John Demorest Winchip in 2000, son, Frederic ‛‛Rick” Winchip, Jr. in 2009, daughter Candace Joe Nichols in 2009, daughter Deborah Ann Carignan in 2015, a sister, Adelita Burr and brother Ignacio Molinet.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Fillmore. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Fillmore.
