Clarissa C. (Chumney) Minster

Dalton --- Clarissa C. Minster of Dalton, died Wednesday, February 19, 2015 in Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. She was born on January 8, 1934 in Dayton, OH, a daughter of the late Henry Chumney and Juanita Dano Chumney. On December 20, 1954 in North Little Rock, AR, she married Elwood Minster who predeceased her on February 9, 2011.

Clarissa was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Geneseo. She was devoted to her husband, together they enjoyed gardening, family and volunteer work with the Southern Baptist Convention

Surviving are her children, Debbie (Brent) Graham of Austin, Texas, Laurel (Ray) Martel of Dalton, Keith (Joy) Minster of Apex, North Carolina, Mark (Candace) Minster of Terre Haute, Indiana, 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Frances Blanks of Litle Rock, AR, a brother, Henry Chumney of Washington and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Geneseo.
