Deedee Marie James Vanicek

Nunda --- DeeDee Marie James Vanicek, a former resident of Nunda, died Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Noyes Memorial Hospital, Dansville surrounded by her family. She was born on June 8, 1968, in Cuba, a daughter of Butch and Laura Clark James.

DeeDee was a former self-employed homecare LPN. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, reading, sightseeing and most of all, hiking in Letchworth State Park.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sons, Jordan (Jenn) James of Nunda, Nathanial (Riley) Spencer of Dalton, Dakota (Kimberly) James of Hunt, four granddaughters, Willow James, Mia Suko, Nadia Spencer, Mila Spencer, her siblings, Jeremy (Denise) James of Hunt, Jay (Debbie) James of Portageville, Charity (Jeffrey) Ross of Wayland, Rebecca (Todd) Clinton of Nunda, Laurita (Kelly) Denby of Nunda and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by several aunts and an uncle.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 12:00 pm in the Short Tract Fire Hall where a Celebration of Life will continue until 5:00 pm. Paul Palmer, pastor of the Oakland Wesleyan Church, will officiate.
