Freedom --- Donald H. Young of 9728 County Road 3 died Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Olean General Hospital. He was born on April 22, 1941 in Scranton, PA, a son of the late Charles and Ruth Grey Young. He was happily married to his best friend Christine Fagowski since 1986.

Don was a member of the NRA and loved gardening, flowers and feeding and watching the birds. He was a former employee of Young Waterproofing Company in Cheektowaga.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Todd (Kim) Young of Texas, Robin (Joe) Galone of West Valley, Michele Summerville of Bliss, Eric Wlodarski of Cheektowaga, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister Irene (Robert) Mills of Tonawanda, three brothers, Dale (Beverly) Young of Groveland, Richard (Patricia) Young of Tonawanda, John Young of Dunedin, FL, a sister-in-law, Arlene Young of Caneadea and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Timothy Young and two brothers, Charles Young Jr and Snowden R. Young.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11:00 am. Todd Young will officiate. Burial will be in Oramel Cemetery, Oramel.
