Donna K. (Congdon) Dorvit

Town of Allen --- Donna K. Dorvit of 5473 Dorvit Road died Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in her home. She was born on July 1, 1940, in Olean, a daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Summersgill Congdon. She married John L. Dorvit who predeceased her on November 26, 2008.

Donna was a member of the Short Tract Community Church where she served as youth group leader for many years. She was a former employee for Robeson Appliances in Castile.

Donna enjoyed driving the Amish, quilting, especially making quilts for cancer patients, playing cards, puzzles, traveling, meeting with her coffee group at the Cuba McDonalds and most of all picnics with family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are her children, John (Dorothy) Dorvit, Judy Dorvit both of the Town of Allen, Joseph (Chrisann) Dorvit of Belfast, Julie (Jeff) Steadman of Town of Allen, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a brother, Paul Congdon of Lockport, a brother-in-law, Russell (Shawn) Dorvit of NC and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and her parents she was predeceased by three sister-in-law, Virginia Graham, Leora Ferguson and Ruth Congdon.

Family and friends may gather from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Basswood Hill Cemetery, Town of Allen.
