Faire Ellen (Geer) Silvis

Fillmore---Faire Ellen Silvis, a former resident of Fillmore and Obi, died Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Wyoming County Community Nursing Facility, Warsaw. She was born on January 3, 1927 in Brookville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late David and Sara Dinger Geer. She married Paul J. Silvis who predeceased her in 1993.

Mrs. Silvis was a former bus driver for the Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District. She loved to knit. She also attended the Friends in Christ United Methodist Church in Fillmore.

Surviving are a son, Harry (Carol) Silvis of Fillmore, Terry (Sharon) Silvis of N. Tonawanda, a daughter, Linda Saltsman of California, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, four sisters, one brother and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather at Kopler-Williams Funeral Home 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore, on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 p m at which time funeral services will follow in the funeral home. Nancy Russell, pastor of the

Friends in Christ United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in West Genesee Cemetery, Obi.
