Floyd G. Smith

Portageville---Floyd G. Smith of 11163 Co. Rd. 27, died Friday, September 16, 2016 in Olean General Hospital. He was born on January 18, 1947 in Salamanca, a son of the late Floyd and Lorraine Baker Smith. He married Samantha Breth who survives.

Floyd was a self-employed iron worker. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving from 1966 thru 1970. He was a member of the Hunt-Stout American Legion in Lamont, attended the Centerville United Methodist Church and was always willing to help people.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two brothers, Brad (Joann) Smith of Peabody, Mass, Garth (Tracy) Smith of Perry, his children, Todd (Kelly) Smith of Wiscoy, Denise Smith-Crow of N. Port, Fl., Kevin (Melanie) Rawlings of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Randy (Leslie) Keesler of Belmont, Marleah (JC) Stout of Perry, Danielle (Zach) Lathigee of Silver Springs, 14 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Pike Fire Hall at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Bob Schooley will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Pike.
