Francis "Buster" L. Brown

Portageville --- Francis ‟Buster” L. Brown of 11954 Route 19A died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in his home. He was born on February 17, 1933 in Fillmore, a son of the late Forest and Laura Hoagland Brown. On November 29, 1957 he married Donna Vedder who survives.

Buster was a foreman for Armco Steel Corp in Baltimore, MD and later for Nardie Contracting in Ohio. Afterwards he came home and went into farming until he retired.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. Buster loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His favorite being raccoon hunting.

Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Francis L. Brown Jr. of Portageville, Bambi (Dan) Walden of Rushford, Deanne (Jerry) Marshall of Fillmore, Anjanette (Carl) Maines of Portageville, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Lyle (Sylvia) Brown of Robinson, Texas, Robert (Marguerite) Brown of Mills Mills, James (Linda) Brown of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at a later date in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.
