Helen L. (Duman) Tarantino

Bliss --- Helen L. Tarantino of 7601 Centerville Road went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 13, 2023 in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born on June 16, 1948 in Indiana, PA, a daughter of the late Modestus and Grace McFeely Duman. She married Joe Tarantino who survives.

Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arcade. She loved animals, dancing, gospel music and all types of roses.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Betty Lou Sawicki of Cheektowaga, Steven Joseph Gomski of Arcade, Donna Marie Grinnell of Sodus, Brian (Mandy) Herring of Centerville, Ronald (Corinna) Herring of Centerville, a step-son, Ronald Neamon of West Valley, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her siblings, Nancy Frazier of Bliss, Maxine Duman of Warsaw, John B. Duman of Yorkshire, James Duman of Buffalo and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Richard William Gomski.

Family and friends may gather from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Michael Jordan, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arcade, will officiate. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Rushford.

Memorials if desired to: SPCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
