Jean A. (Minster) Thompson

Hunt --- Jean A. Thompson of 9675 Parker Road went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Wyoming County Community Hospital SNF, Warsaw. She was born on July 21, 1934, at Conesus Lake, a daughter of the late Elwood and Florence Plimpton Minster. She married Allen A. Thompson who predeceased her on August 8, 2019.

Jean was a member of the Hunt Baptist Church and a former RN for 32 years at Wyoming County Community Hospital.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, crafting and traveling. During her world travels she visited all seven continents and 42 different countries. Most of all Jean loved the Christmas season, family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Nancy (Ray) Morningstar of East Aurora, Don (MarySue) Thompson of Arkport, John (Sandy) Thompson of Hunt, Shirley (Guy) Haskins of Hermitage, TN, Rodney “Mac” (Dolly) Thompson of Stow, OH, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a sister, Geri (David) Farruggia of Retsof and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Elwood Minster in 2011.

Family and friends may gather from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Hunt Baptist Church where a funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 11:00 am. Pastor Ryan Haskins and Pastor Jerry Feulmer will co-officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Hill Cemetery, Portage. The link for streaming is linked in the service details below.
