Arcade --- Joseph A. Tarantino Jr., born December 26, 1955, in Hoboken, New Jersey, passed away on June 30, 2026, at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw, New York.

Joe was a former employee at Mentholatum in Orchard Park.

Joe found fulfillment in the simple pleasures of life. An avid reader, he enjoyed the quiet company of a good book, immersing himself in stories that were as varied as his interests.

He shared a special bond with his dogs, whose companionship brought him great comfort and joy through the years.

Faith was another important facet of Joseph’s life; when able, he was an attendant at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arcade.

Surviving are his stepdaughters, Betty Lou Sawicki and Donna Marie Grinnell; his stepsons, Steven Joseph Gomski, Brian (Mandy) Herring, and Ronald (Corinna) Herring; nine step-grandchildren, 16 step- great-grandchildren and his brother Tony Tarantino.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Helen L. Tarantino, and his brother, David Tarantino.

A burial service will take place at White Cemetery, Rushford.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore.
