Hume --- Judge Frederick L. “Fred” Cwiklinski of Hume went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 3, 2023 in his home. He was born on November 16, 1942 in Buffalo. A son of the late Bernard Cwiklinski and Florence Tylczynski. On October 26, 1985 in the town of York he married Karen Barefoot who predeceased him on February 24, 2023.
Fred was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church and held a variety of job and careers including steel working for Bethlehem Steel, deputy sheriff for Erie County, fire chief, EMT for Fillmore Rescue Squad, shop teacher and a 30 year Town Justice for The Town of Hume.
He was an avid hunter, camper, adventurer, woodworker, carpenter and lifetime member of the NRA.
Fred will be greatly missed by loving family and friends.
In addition to his mother, father and his beloved wife he was predeceased by two sisters, Dolores McDonough and Bernice Dollman.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Centerville United Methodist Church. Pastor Bob Schooley will officiate. A private committal service will be held in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, York.
Memorials if desired to: Fillmore Rescue Squad, SPCA serving Allegany County or the Centerville United Methodist Church.
