Fillmore---Karen L. Milke of 6673 Shongo Valley Road, Town of Caneadea, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Olean General Hospital. She was born on October 11 1945 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Weismore Doughherty. In 1996 she married Thomas ″Paa″ Milke who predeceased her on April 20, 2012
Karen was a certified medical assistant at the Howl Center in Charlotte, N.C. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, crocheting and also enjoyed watching owls.
Surviving are her children, Adrienne (Bill) Evans of Fillmore, Audrey (Bill) Newman of Amity, Rick (Sandie) Young of Fillmore, her step-children, Vicky (John) Nichols of Hornell, Chris (Lynn) Milke of Warsaw, Benjamin (Amanda) Milke of N.C., thirteen grandchildren, sixteen-great-grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pat (Robert) Chojnocki of Gasport, Doris (Ron) Anderson of Ohio and several nieces and nephews and her extended family, Mark and Candy Jones and family of Mt. Pleasant, N.C.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 am. Frank Grossman, pastor of the Caneadea Hills Community Church will officiate.
