Kenneth Thayer

Wiscoy --- Kenneth Thayer of 6064 Mechanic Street died Thursday, March 23, 2017 in his home after a courageous twelve month battle with cancer. He was born on May 26, 1947 in Fillmore, a son of the late Herbert and Edna Bennett Thayer. He married Mildred Gierke who survives.

Ken was an antique car enthusiast, golfer, garage tinkerer, and always was willing to help people. He also was a former employee of E and L Transport in Lorain, OH and A.T.I.

One of his proudest moments was hauling concept cars across the country for Lincoln Mercury.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Joshua (Carrie Nusbickel) Thayer of Lakeville, a brother, Wayne (Andrea) Thayer of Wellsville, a sister, Maxine Thayer of Fillmore, a sister in law, Maria (Joseph) Welch of Raleigh, N. Carolina, several nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a nephew, Wayne Thayer and his best friend, Dharma.

There will be no visitation.
