Lavern G. Bliss

Fillmore---Lavern G. Bliss Sr. of 10065 Rt. 19, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 in his home. He was born on August 18, 1953 in Buffalo, a son of the late Harold and Mildred White Bliss.

Mr. Bliss was a self-employed logger.

Surviving are his children, Lavern (Anna) Bliss Jr. of Locust, N.C. Jay Bliss of Fillmore, Susan (Benny) Kandhiraj of South Riding, Va., Brent Bliss of Arcade, fifteen grandchildren, three sisters, Laura (Harold) Shoemaker of Clifton Springs, Christine (Mitchell) Jones of Fillmore, Ernestine Jones of Parrott, Va., a brother, Ray (Linda) Bliss of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Fred Bliss.

Family and friends may gather from 11:00 to 1:00 on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Bill Lawson, Pastor of the Fillmore Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Quakertown Cemetery, Warsaw.
