Lucia M. (Burr) Wilcox

Angelica --- Lucia M. Wilcox of 37 E. Main Street died Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in UPMC Wellsboro, Wellsboro, PA.  She was born on November 19, 1934 in Hume, a daughter of the late Arthur and Emma Griggs Burr. On May 15, 1954 in Caneadea she married Charles R. Wilcox who predeceased her on October 28, 2014.

Lucia was a former nurse’s aide and secretary at the Houghton Nursing Home. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, coloring, fishing, playing poker, all types of board games, cats and especially watching the Game Show Network.

Surviving are her children, Re Buck of Wellsboro, PA, Lori (Randy) Pier of Wellsboro, PA, Rick (Pam) Wilcox of Olean, John (Tammy) Wilcox of Fillmore, Sue (Rich) Polochock of Rochester, Mark (Lori) Wilcox of Fillmore, Cheryl (Stewart) Fuller of Angelica, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Robert (Chris) Burr of Kent and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a grandson, Aaron D. Washburn, a son-in-law, Tom Buck, a sister, Betty Howden and a brother, Leroy Burr.

A private gathering and funeral service will be held at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore.
