Stafford---Lucille Sandford, a former resident of Pike, died Saturday December 20, 2014 in Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in Brockport. She was born on October 22, 1921 in East Koy, a daughter of the late Forrest and Mildred Overholt. She was married to Raymond H. Sandford for 65 years who predeceased her on June 22, 2007.
Mrs. Sandford attended the Pike Community Church. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She also did crafts, mainly needle work.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald (Ann) Sandford of Stafford and Larry Sandford of Greenbush, Maine; five granddaughters, Salena (Mike) Staub of Decatur, GA., Heather (Brad) Marshall of Trumansburg, Spring (Brandon) Zuidema of Garner, NC., Julie (Ben) Parrish of Lynchburg, VA., Samantha Schiavi of Batavia, six great- granddaughters, one great-grandson, a brother, Bill (Fran) Overholt of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Velma Anderson in 2011.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral Home. Bruce Smith, pastor of the Higgins Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.
