Margaret A. Wilcox

Fillmore---Margaret A. Wilcox of 10789 Rt. 19, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born on March 20, 1920 in Centerville, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Dornan McElroy. In 1940 in Fillmore, she married Hartley W. ″Slim″ Wilcox who predeceased her on November 20, 2001.

Margaret was a graduate of Fillmore Central School and prior to retiring, worked at Mallory Timers in Warsaw and the Fillmore Knitting Mill.

Surviving are a nephew, Harold (Julie) Morgan of Centerville, two nieces, Suzanne (Tom) O’Rourke of Baltimore, MD, Carol (Ron) Roelofs of Jacksonville, FL, four sisters-in-law, Ople (Robert) Gollnitz of West Field, Jean Wilcox of Nunda, Emily Wilcox of Nunda, Dorothy Belanger of Buffalo, special friends, Darlene (Richard) Mason and family and several more nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Mabel McElroy, Maxine Morgan and a brother, Thomas McElroy.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 North Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Timothy Gleason, pastor of the Friends in Christ United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.
