Short Tract---Meredith Gene Smith of 10501 Co. Rd. 15, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 in his home. He was born on June 3, 1938 in Ridgeview, WV., a son of the late Raymond and Altha Racer Smith. He married Susan Porter who survives.

Meredith was a lifelong truck driver and loved to landscape his lawn.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Brian King of Angelica, Chrisann (Joseph) Dorvit of Belfast, Debra Smith of Fillmore, Jason Smith of Short Tract, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitations and a service will be held at the convenience of the family.
