Monica B. (Beardsley) Mills

Fillmore---Monica B. Mills of 10909 Dugway Road, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Wyoming Co. Comm. Nursing Facility, Warsaw. She was born on April 21, 1928 in Pike, a daughter of the late Willis and Ethel Fahey Beardsley. She married Lowell B. Mills Sr. who predeceased her on August 19, 2009.

Monica enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching and most of all spending time with her family.

She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her children, Lynn VanScoter of Indiana, Lowell ‛Buz’ (Margaret) Mills Jr. of Fillmore, Dana (Kim) Mills of Warsaw, Michelle Harding of Fillmore, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Ronald W. Mills, a son-in-law, James VanScoter, two brothers, Clifford Beardsley, Harold “Banjo” Beardsley and a sister, Bonalyn Palkowski.

Family and friends may gather at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St. Fillmore, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Friends in Christ United Methodist Church. Pastor Nancy Russell will officiate.
