Fillmore and a former resident of Buffalo

Fillmore --- Raymond Thomas Rott of 5270 Botsford Hollow Road and a former resident of Buffalo passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in the Wyoming County Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Warsaw. He was born on October 17, 1934 in Buffalo, a son of the late Raymond and Gertrude Dolan Rott. On December 7, 1956 in Seattle, WA he married Donna Gunderson who survives.

Raymond was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. He also served the Buffalo Fire Department for 33 years and achieved the rank of Battalion Chief. He enjoyed reading western novels, hunting, tinkering and doing yard work around “The Farm”.

Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Dianne (William) Cartwright of Maryland, Denise Lovern of Florida, Raymond (Elizabeth) Rott of Grand Island, three grandsons, Thomas (Lyndsay) Ott, Taylor Ott both of Ogden, UT, Raymond Rott of Grand Island, a brother, Donald (Sharon) Rott of Hamburg and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by many siblings.

A private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
