Robert L. Gilchrist

Rushford --- Robert L. Gilchrist Sr. or 9004 Main Street passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 in his home. He was born on September 2, 1954 in Buffalo, a son of the late William and Donna Fletcher Gilchrist Sr. He was previously married to Sandra Taylor who survives.

Robert was previously involved with the Rushford Fire Department and volunteered at the St. Bonaventure soup kitchen.

He loved being a mechanic and his “frankin-bike” but most of all he was a devoted and loving grandfather.

Surviving in addition to his ex-wife are his children, Nicolas (Tara McVay) Gilchrist or Virginia, Stacy (Nick) Keller of Pennsylvania, two granddaughters, Alexis Thayer and Brianna Keller, his siblings, William Gilchrist Jr., Bonnie Gilchrist, Bruce Gilchrist all of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant son, Robert L. Gilchrist Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the Balcom Beach Bible Church, formerly the Rushford United Methodist Church. Rev. Tracy Holland will officiate. Burial will be in White Cemetery, Rushford.
