Roger H. Jones

Fillmore --- Roger H. Jones of 5879 W. River Road passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He was born on August 21, 1952 in Corning, a son of the late Howard and Rachel Livingston Jones. On April 28, 1979 in the Hume United Methodist Church he married Paula Miller who survives.

Roger was a veteran of the United State Navy serving from 1972 to 1976 and former employee of Cold Springs in Akron.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with his two grandsons. Roger also enjoyed riding his side by side and four wheeler.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Megan (Willie) Beardsley of Hume, two grandsons, Kainan Beardsley and Kalen Beardsley, a sister, Ruth Jones of Mt. Morris, a brother, Leo Jones of Virginia, his mother-in-law, Olive “Polly” Miller of Hume, a brother-in-law Paul (Rondus) Miller of Fillmore and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by, two granddaughters, Cali Beardsley and Kendall Beardsley, his father-in-law, Alvin “Dodd” Miller, a sister, Donna Lobdell and a brother-in-law, James Lobdell.

Family and friends may gather from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. Pastor Sam Wolcott will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore with Military Honors.
