Belfast --- Rose May Kish, a former resident of Belfast, died Monday, July 15, 2024, in the Houghton Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was born on May 12, 1970, in Cuba, a daughter of the late Mark and Rhea Pingrey Kish.
Rose was a former employee for TOPS in Wellsville where she worked in the bakery. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and bingo and also enjoyed different crafts including pencil art. She loved animals, especially dogs, and was known for being a notorious prankster but most of all she loved babysitting Eric and Karesa.
Surviving are her siblings, Robin Johnson of Batavia, William Kish, Ronda (David) Brundage both of Caneadea, Robert (Annette) Kish of Belfast, Ricky (Judy) Kish of Cuba and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Mark and Doris Kish and her maternal grandparents, Stanley and Hazel Pingrey.
Family and friends may gather from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Northern KonXions United Methodist Church in Belfast where a funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm. Pastor Craig Buelow will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Houghton.
