Ruth C. (Negley) Miller

Houghton --- Ruth C. Miller of Houghton died Monday, October 7, 2024, in the Houghton Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was born on March 29, 1927, in Tarentum, PA, a daughter of the late Carl and Izetta Brinks Negley. She married Rev. Robert F. Miller who predeceased her on December 31, 2016.

Ruth was a former employee of Houghton College where she maintained the guest rooms, a former medical receptionist in Houghton and an owner for the Village Country Store in Houghton.

She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and most of all interior decorating.

Surviving are her children, Roger Miller of Houghton, David (Beatrice) Miller of Houghton, Cheryl (Samuel) Hollingshead of Holley, eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a sister, Drucilla Shatzdorfer of Seattle, WA and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Fillmore Wesleyan Church where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mark Harley will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Houghton.
