Ruth M. (Skinner) Beardsley

Fillmore--- Ruth M. Beardsley of 10981 Dugway Road died Monday, January 27, 2025, in her home. She was born on May 16, 1943, in Cuba, a daughter of the late Leo and Minnie Smith Skinner. She married Timothy James Beardsley who predeceased her on January 9, 2003.

Ruth was a former manager of the former Star Dust in Fillmore, a former employee of Champion Co. in Perry and a former food service employee at Houghton College.

She enjoyed bird watching, puzzles, flowers, cooking, her beloved dog, Pumpkin and visiting with her friends and family but most of all she loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Arnell (Thomas) Comstock of Georgia, Timothy (Heather) Beardsley of Fillmore, Dana (Randy) Covedill of Fillmore, Ruben (Lara) Beardsley of York, 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a sister, Marguerite Rich of Houghton, a brother, Albert Skinner of TN and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by two sisters, Gloria Crawford, Clara Perry, a brother, Lynn Burnside and a nephew, Shanley Wright.

Per Ruth’s wishes there will be no services. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery, Fillmore.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore.
