Bob took over management of the Murray Stevens clothing store in Hornell for the next 27 years while Sue raised their children. She participated in the Jaycees, led both Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops in Arkport, and volunteered on the Arkport ambulance service. Sue returned to work in 1980 when she began working as a registered nurse at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
In 1987, Sue and Bob moved to Santa Barbara, California, where Sue began working at the Tri-Counties Bloodbank, retiring in 2002. Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering with the local Alzheimer’s Association, and socializing with her friends at book club.
