Kopler
March 3, 1938 – May 23, 2026
Rush --- Suzanne Kopler, née Wolfer, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, in her home. Born on March 3, 1938, in Warsaw, a daughter of the late Duane Wolfer and Beulah Hotchkiss. On April 5, 1958 in Hume she married John A. Kopler who predeceased her on December 18, 2021
A former cafeteria aide for the Rush-Henrietta Central School District, Suzanne touched countless lives with her gentle presence and warm smile. Suzanne cherished the pleasures found in everyday moments. She enjoyed puzzles that challenged her mind, lost herself in the pages of countless books, and found solace in sewing, a craft she loved though she had slowed from it in recent years. Luncheons with friends were treasured occasions, filled with laughter and heartfelt conversations that illuminated her social grace and genuine affection for those around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Howard) Waid of Livingston, Texas, her brother-in-law, Pete Hinchey of Albion, and two half-brothers, Gary (Kathy) Wolfer and Dale (Lois) Wolfer, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who held her dear.
In addition to her husband and her parents she was predeceased by her son, Robert Wilson Kopler, in 2007; and her sisters, Marya Hinchey and Shirley Lilly.
Family and friends may gather on June 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, located at 21 N Genesee St, Fillmore, NY. Burial will be in Rush Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush.
